Jeremiah Fears had 36 points (13-of-29 FGs, 7-of-11 FTs), three rebounds, six assists, three steals and three three-pointers in Friday’s loss to the Celtics.
Fears now has 76 points in his last two games. The 19-year-old is certainly showing what he’s made of at the end of his rookie season. Fears wasn’t much of a factor in redraft leagues this season, but is still a coveted dynasty asset. He could be in line for another big game against the Timberwolves...
Saddiq Bey (rest) and Herbert Jones (rest) are out for Friday’s matchup with the Celtics.
Bey and Jones will join the rest of New Orleans’ regular starters and Karlo Matković (back) on the bench, as the Pels will have to turn to Jeremiah Fears, Derik Queen, Jordan Hawkins and Micah Peavy to shoulder the load.
NBA Injury ReportDejounte Murray (hand) is out for Friday’s game against the Celtics.
Friday’s game will be the fourth that Murray has missed due to a hand injury. Jeremiah Fears, who set a franchise rookie record with 40 points on Tuesday, will once again figure prominently in the Pelicans’ rotation.
NBA Injury ReportTrey Murphy (ankle) is out for Friday’s game against the Celtics.
Friday’s game will be the third that Murphy has missed with an ankle injury. Jordan Poole moved into the starting lineup for Tuesday’s win over the Jazz and went off for 34 points. Look for him to take on a significant role within the Pelicans’ rotation once again.
NBA Injury ReportYves Missi (hand) is out for Friday’s game against the Celtics.
Missi remains out with a sprained right hand, freeing up additional minutes for Derik Queen. Queen started Tuesday’s win over the Jazz and nearly recorded a triple-double. The rookie should play plenty in New Orleans’ final two games of the season, regardless of Missi’s availability.
NBA Injury ReportKarlo Matković (back) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Celtics.
Matković has missed the Pelicans’ last four games with a lower back injury. With Yves Missi also out, Josh Oduro played 26 minutes in Tuesday’s win over the Jazz. If Matković remains out, Oduro should once again play rotation minutes off the bench.
NBA Injury ReportZion Williamson (knee) is out for Friday’s game against the Celtics.
Friday’s game will be the second straight that Williamson has missed, but he was never ruled out for Tuesday’s win over the Jazz. He won’t play against the Celtics for injury management reasons, which may result in a second consecutive start for Kevon Looney.
NBA Injury ReportHerb Jones (rest) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Celtics.
Despite being healthy, Jones was held out of Tuesday’s win over the Jazz. Jeremiah Fears moved into the lineup and had the best game of his rookie season, as he dropped 40 points. Fears may be the safer option for fantasy managers in active leagues, as the Pelicans have little incentive to play thei...
NBA Injury ReportDejounte Murray, Herb Jones, Saddiq Bey, Zion Williamson and DeAndre Jordan will start Thursday’s game against the Pistons.
While Murray is good to go, the Pelicans will not have Trey Murphy for Thursday’s game. He has been replaced in the lineup by Jordan, who offers a little more muscle to deal with Jalen Duren.
NBA LineupsBryce McGowens (toe) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Raptors.
McGowens has a fractured small toe on his right foot, which may keep him out of multiple games. There may be additional minutes for Micah Peavy, but not enough to affect fantasy basketball.
NBA Injury ReportKevon Looney provided a boost off the bench with 18 points (5-of-7 FGs), three rebounds, two assists and four blocks against the Thunder on Wednesday.
Quinten Post got the first start of his career at center, but the experiment was short-lived. He played eight minutes in the first half and contributed two turnovers and three fouls. Looney ended up filling most of the center minutes and started the second half in place of Post. This was a new seaso...
