Quenton Jackson had 21 points (7-of-15 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), eight assists, three steals and one three-pointer in Sunday’s loss to the Pistons.
Jackson finished the season strong with 12.7 points per game and 5.3 assists per game in seven games in April. While the 27-year-old guard certainly showed some promise, it still remains to be seen if he’ll factor into the Pacers’ rotation next year when the team is healthy.
Jarace Walker (foot) is out for Sunday’s game against the Pistons.
Walker started and had 17 points against the 76ers on Friday, but is set to miss Sunday’s game against the Pistons with a left foot sprain. The 22-year-old small forward had a promising season, but it remains to be seen if he can crack the Pacers’ rotation when the team is fully healthy.
Ben Sheppard (hip) has been ruled out against the Pistons on Friday.
Sheppard will miss a fifth straight game to wrap up the regular season. Kam Jones, Quenton Jackson and Jalen Slawson should all take on extra minutes with Sheppard out.
Dustin DopirakKobe Brown (back) is available to play against the Pistons on Sunday.
Brown will be good to go and should play a significant role in this game. He played 27 minutes in Friday’s loss, but Indiana will be even more shorthanded for this one. Brown will continue to start.
Dustin DopirakAndrew Nembhard (back) and T.J. McConnell (hamstring) are out for Sunday’s game against the Pistons.
Nembhard and McConnell remain out for the Pacers’ season finale, leaving the Pacers to once again rely on Quenton Jackson and Kam Jones to handle the point guard responsibilities.
NBA Injury ReportJay Huff provided a boost off the bench with eight points (3-of-9 FGs), 10 rebounds, two assists, five blocks and two three-pointers against the 76ers on Friday.
The expectations for Huff were high entering this season due to the lack of other center options for the Pacers. While he has had the best season of his career, most of his value has been tied to his shot blocking, which has certainly been impressive. He matched his season high for swats in this one...
Micah Potter recorded a double-double on Friday with 13 points (5-of-10 FGs), 10 rebounds, one steal, one block and three three-pointers in a 105-94 loss to the 76ers.
Potter has started three of the Pacers’ last four games, and in each of those starts, he recorded a double-double. Potter signed a two-year deal with Indiana in December to help fill out some of the minutes at center. He’ll continue to play a significant role for them in their final game of the seas...
Pascal Siakam (ankle) and Aaron Nesmith (neck) are out for Friday’s matchup with the 76ers.
Both players will be out for another game, and Jalen Slawson could take on additional minutes. Kobe Brown (back) is questionable, and if he’s available, he could be in line for an expanded role.
NBA Injury ReportObi Toppin tallied 26 points (11-of-14 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), nine rebounds and three assists in the win over the Nets on Thursday.
Toppin used his 19 minutes of game action well on Thursday, missing just three shots en route to finishing as the only Pacers player with 20 or more points. The sixth-year forward also excelled on the glass and came up just one rebound shy of earning a double-double. He was one of several Indiana pl...
T.J. McConnell (hamstring) has been ruled out against the Timberwolves on Tuesday.
McConnell will remain out for a fourth straight game, and with Andrew Nembhard (back) out as well, Indiana will turn to Quenton Jackson and Kam Jones for the point guard minutes. Jackson should continue to play a larger role as a starter.
NBA Injury ReportAaron Nesmith (neck) has been ruled out against the Timberwolves on Tuesday.
Nesmith will miss a fifth straight game, which should lead to another start for Ethan Thompson, who logged 30 minutes on Sunday. He struggled to produce, but he should play a large role once again with Nesmith out.
NBA Injury ReportThe Indianapolis Star’s Dustin Dopriak reports Ivica Zubac (ribs) will miss the rest of the season.
Zubac suffered a fractured rib in Wednesday’s loss to the Trail Blazers. According to Dopriak, the 29-year-old center will miss the rest of the season due to the anticipated healing time. Jay Huff would be the top candidate to move into the starting lineup with Zubac sidelined.
Dustin DopriakKam Jones posted a solid line on Tuesday with 14 points (5-of-9 FGs), four rebounds, nine assists, two steals and four three-pointers against the Kings.
After playing just four minutes on Sunday, Jones returned to the starting unit for this game. He set a new career high for both points and three-pointers, and he fell one assist shy of recording the second double-double of his career. Jones has taken on a larger role over the past month, and that sh...
Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) has been diagnosed with shingles and will be away from the Pacers for the next two to three weeks.
Haliburton, who is out for the entire 2025-26 season after rupturing his Achilles tendon during Game 7 of last June’s NBA Finals, recently contracted shingles. His time away from the team won’t affect fantasy basketball, but young players like guard Kam Jones won’t be able to benefit from Haliburton...
Tony EastHoopsHype’s Michael Scotto reports that Johnny Furphy has been diagnosed with a torn ACL in his right knee and will miss the rest of the season.
Furphy was injured during the third quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Raptors, as he landed awkwardly after finishing a dunk. The second-year wing was taken back to the locker room via wheelchair, and an MRI on Monday confirmed fears that he’d suffered a torn ACL. Furphy started 21 of the 35 games he ...
